Soloflyte Recordings is the realization of a dream I have carried with me for as long as I can remember.
From my youth, I always had a love for and a curiosity about both music and all things electronic. While my sisters played with dolls, this girl was running around with Science Fair kits from Radio Shack building cat and bird oscillators,
AM radios, buzzers, alarms and sirens. As I grew up, my passion for music and technology only got stronger,
even through the 23 year detour I took serving my country in the military.
My background includes having been a vocalist, school musician, and a DJ. A few of the producers who have influenced
me musically are Quincy Jones, Trevor Horn, Rod Temperton, Rick Rubin, and my greatest influence, Maurice White
of Earth, Wind and Fire. My two main influences in the engineering field are George Massenburg and the legendary
Bruce Swedien. My favorite musical genres are classic rock, 70's funk, breaks, trip hop, afrobeat, downtempo, lounge,
electro, ambient, acid jazz, deep house, drum & bass, hip-hop, reggae, and bossa nova. I also have over 20 years
experience in live sound gained in various houses of worship. I received my mentoring and training in audio engineering
at The Recording Conservatory of Austin.
I currently work out of Penny Creek Studios here in Austin, which is an awesome facility in the Arboretum
area of town. It's a great space that allows me to serve clients with the technical precision, professionalism, and quality
that is my pleasure to provide. |
